What type of information do I collect?

 

 I receive, collect, and store any information you enter on my website or provide me in any other way. This information is only stored as it’s information I need to design, arrange payment for, and deliver your cake.

• Your name & your partner’s name

• Your address

• Your email address and phone number

• Event information including date & location

• Bank details if you decide to hire a cake stand

• Any allergy information

 

When do I collect your personal data, and why do I need it?

 I collect personal data from several sources including:
• the website contact form,

• the website shop page when you purchase items,
• wedding exhibitions, and events,
• referrals from existing clients, other organisations, and wedding planners

• To propose, quote, design, deliver, invoice and get feedback on my wedding cake

How is your personal data protected?

 All data obtained from you is stored within my laptop computer which is password protected and passwords are regularly updated.

 

How long will I keep your personal data?

 Whenever I collect or process your personal data, I’ll only keep it for as long as I genuinely need it, or if it is required for regulatory legislation reasons. At the end of that period, your data will either be deleted completely or made anonymous.

 

Who do I share your personal data with?

 My website, like many other websites out there uses cookies. While these ‘Cookies’ aren’t edible. Instead, these are small pieces of information sent to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow our website to recognise you when you visit. Such information will never identify you personally and will not be visible to me; it is purely statistical data, which does not identify any personal details whatsoever. My website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows me to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  

 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard and American Express. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
